People that want to get health insurance sometimes have pre-existing conditions,
and if this applies to you then you have two options:
- Apply for a standard plan that is medically underwritten (e.g. requires filling out a medical
questionnaire), in which case the condition will not be covered, OR:
- Apply for a guaranteed issue health plan (no medical insurance), which will cover the pre-existing
condition.
Note: if you have terminated your employee benefits (i.e. group insurance) within the last
60 days then you qualify for a special type of guaranteed issue product called
"conversion benefits", which do not require a medical. A conversion benefits
plan is specially designed for people who were previously covered by an employee
benefits package.

Guaranteed Issue Health Insurance Features:
-
Coverage for pre-existing conditions.
-
There is no medical questionnaire.
-
Offers dental and prescription drug coverage*,
as well as core health benefits.
- Looking for no medical life insurance? -
- Looking for no medical disability benefits? -
* Guaranteed issue health plans have less overall
coverage compared to medically underwritten plans.
